OUR HOLIDAY HOMES

Relax at our compact, modern, recently built & furnished bach. With a wrap around deck, there's always a spot in the sun/shade, breeze/calm for your deck chair. The rear has a panorama over the rolling farmland adjoining the Carrington Estate Golf Course & towards the sand dunes at Karikari beach, to Rangaunu harbour as far as Cape Reinga on clear days. The front has a large garden & distant views of Tokerau Beach in Doubtless Bay, Olive Groves and the countryside. Tokerau Beach is 1.2km walk/drive. Sited on the tranquil Karikari Peninsula in the rural Far North of New Zealand. We love how freeing and refreshing it is when the surf can be smelt, heard & seen most of the time while there. Designed with outdoor living in mind so you are welcome to bring your BBQ for cooking on hot summer nights in a large spacious garden. We love how close it is to walk, boogie board, swim, kayak or surf at multiple stunning beaches with azure waters & soft white sandy beaches.

Seascape Peninsula Bach

Our Bach is in a lovely laid back residential area in a rural beachside town. The locals are generally polite and many of them have pet dogs, that are known to go for a wander.

There are numerous pristine beaches nearby. One of them being Maitai Bay, which is currently the #1 Top beach in New Zealand on newzealand.com and escape.com.au.

Some of the local beaches are suitable for swimming, kayaking & paddle boarding, some for surfing; some for small boat launching for fishing.

Maybe you might bring some sports gear with you for Skim Boarding, Beach Volleyball, Frisbee or Cricket?

Or perhaps sun bathing with a magazine and a cold one?

There's always the deck to hang out on, if you've had enough beach time. Watch clouds drift by or the boats bobbing on the harbour... occasionally there might be birds, cattle, sheep or wild pigs in the fields.

The Bach is decorated in sleek greys, black and white, with some beach themed furnishing.

Bedroom 1 has a queen bed & expansive panoramic sea views through the stacker slider + distant beach view out of the window. It has a smart TV, bedside drawers, lamps, a fan and plug socket with usb ports.

Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed & sea views through the custom made small windows for both bunks. It is also equipped with a small tv-dvd player with usb ports, plug socket and a phone holder at the foot of each bunk. It has bedside drawers and a lamp. The bunk bed is suitable for up to 70kg weight limit.

We preferred to make a separate small bunk room for children, rather than a larger living room. This allows each family member or guest a moment to unwind individually, while still being close by for the most harmonious stay.

The kitchenette is compact and so are the appliances to match because easy meals are the go to, when on holiday!

The full size bathroom is to enable adults to have a nice hot shower comfortably in peace or families bathing children quickly and practically.

We view it as glamping, where guests have private access to the quarter acre garden, the deck and the whole two bedroom minimalistic, practical Bach. However without having to share the kitchen and bathroom with other campers; with more space than a standard caravan and a solid roof unlike tents.

Being a tiny house please pack light for your stay as luggage will need to be neatly stowed under the beds to maximize use of floor space.

We recommend taking bottled drinking water or boiling the tank water prior to drinking. Although this is just a general precaution as we haven't had any issue to date.

Please be environmentally aware by conserving water, electricity & gas. Water is sourced by rainwater catchment tank as there is no mains supply available in Karikari Peninsula.

Guests are welcome to bring small boats through the standard sized gate onto the grass during dry weather, however there is a $140.00 additional fee as hosing down the boat after use will likely run the tank dry so it will need to be refilled in time for the next guest to arrive.
